Event Details
Note that once you complete these courses, you will still need to be assessed by an AURAC assessor to be marked off as an independent climber. None of these courses have any prerequisites, but it is recommended that you can comfortably climb at least 17/18 indoor, or 15 outdoor, although this isn't a strict requirement.
For those who are interested in the next step on from top-roping. We will be driving down on Saturday back to Waipari to learn to lead climb. We will continue honing our skills on Sunday, potentially reviewing our abseiling/anchor setting skills for those who attended those courses too.
The lead course will have a fee associated with camping/crag access costs. More details will be sent out if your place on the course is confirmed.
