Intro to Multipitching Course
Dear Auracians,
Hope you have all had a good first half of semester 2 and have some good things planned for the break.
It is time for the club to run the Intro to Multi Pitching Course.
This is for AURAC independent climbers only. If you are not accredited, you must get accredited or prove that you have equivalent experience (more info can be found on our website). Intake will be based on club contribution, climbing experience and overall level of stoke.
In this course, we will be covering the basics of sport multi-pitching, how to safely belay, manage gear, and rescue a stuck climber. It will consist of a theory night, where we introduce these concepts to you, and a day out at Stonefields to try everything out.
After completing this course, you will have learned the skills required to start climbing the bigger routes at our crags around the country, especially K-Bay for which we have a club trip in the works.
Times & Locations:
Theory Night - 26th September, 6 pm - 9 pm, City Campus
Practical Day - 30th September, Stonefields
Sign up here!
See you there,
Albie.
